The model behind it, the global ECMWF model, works on a grid of about 9 km according to MET Norway. The point for Playa de Palma is only 1.3 km away, the one for Can Pastilla 4.4 km. 3Sea temperature in El Arenal from October to December
The sea temperature for El Arenal comes from the same NOAA OISST v2.1 grid cell as for Playa de Palma and Can Pastilla, at 39.375 N and 2.625 E, in open water off the bay, 18.4 km south-west of the town. The figures therefore match those on the two neighbouring pages.

4S'Arenal between Palma and Llucmajor
El Arenal is the Spanish name and S'Arenal the Mallorcan one, which according to the German Wikipedia means sandy field. The Spanish Wikipedia lists Les Meravelles, Ses Cadenes and Son Verí Nou among the districts that adjoin El Arenal directly.
The town belongs to two municipalities. The northern part lies in Palma, the southern, older part in Llucmajor. Between them runs the Torrent des Jueus. At the start of 2011 S'Arenal had 16,709 registered residents, 10,041 of them in Llucmajor and 6,668 in Palma.
5Harbour and balnearios: El Arenal by the water
El Arenal began as a small sheltered harbour for fishermen. According to Wikipedia the place is first recorded in 1887, with 21 inhabitants. Today it has a marina with 630 berths and the Club Nàutic Arenal.
Of the 15 balnearios on Playa de Palma, numbers 1 to 3 lie in the town itself, according to Wikipedia. The best known, Balneario 6, stands further north-west in the Ses Cadenes area, which the Wikipedia article on Ballermann 6 counts as part of S'Arenal. German-speaking visitors call it Ballermann 6, and the word Ballermann has been in the Duden dictionary since 2004. The beach bar itself has been called Beach Club Six since 2017.
6Where the El Arenal figures come from
There is no AEMET station in El Arenal. The values come from B278 Palma de Mallorca, Aeropuerto, 6.0 km north-north-west of the town in a straight line, at 5 m above sea level. Of the three places on the beach, El Arenal is the furthest from it. The monthly averages are the same as on the pages about Playa de Palma and Can Pastilla.
The basis is the daily data AEMET OpenData publishes for 2011 to 2025. For temperature and rain from October to December there are 15 complete years, for the sea in December 14.
