5How the Alcúdia figures are measured
The climate figures come from AEMET station B605X Muro, s'Albufera. It is not in the town but 5.3 km in a straight line south of Port d'Alcúdia, 2 m above sea level, near the bay of Alcúdia. Right next to it lies the s'Albufera natural park, according to Wikipedia the largest wetland in the Balearic Islands.
The basis is daily values from 2011 to 2025 from AEMET OpenData. For temperatures from September to November and for rain in September there are 14 complete years, otherwise 15. A rain day is a day with at least 1 mm of rain.
The sea temperature comes from NOAA OISST v2.1, a daily satellite analysis on a 0.25 degree grid. The grid cell at 39.875 N and 3.375 E lies about 21 km in a straight line east of Port d'Alcúdia. The closer cell inside the bay touches land and has no value.
