## Why the Mallorca webcams are linked here rather than embedded

The images from a webcam belong to its operator. SkylineWebcams states in its terms of use that its images may not be reproduced or published without written permission, and that viewing them and sharing them through its own links is allowed. SOCIB publishes open data under the CC BY 4.0 licence, but it lists the images from its beach cameras among its on-demand data, which carry a different licence. For the other providers there is no permission to embed.
That is why every entry leads to the operator's page. There you see the current image, the time it was taken and often other cameras nearby. A link does not reproduce the image, it only leads there.

## What a webcam tells you about the weather in Mallorca

A webcam shows a single place at a single moment: clouds, sun, waves and how busy the beach is. Check the time of the image on the operator's page, as some cameras deliver a still image at longer intervals. At night there is usually little to see.
Where it is raining across the island right now is shown by the [rain radar for Mallorca](https://wettermallorca.com/en/rain-radar/). What the next days will bring is in the [7-day forecast](https://wettermallorca.com/en/7-day-weather/). Whether AEMET has issued a warning is shown under [weather warnings](https://wettermallorca.com/en/weather-warnings/).

## Frequently asked questions

### Are there live webcams in Mallorca?

Yes. This page lists webcams in Palma and Can Pastilla, in Alcúdia and Playa de Muro, in Cala Millor and Cala Agulla, and on the Bay of Pollença, in Port de Sóller and Cala Santanyí. Each one links to its operator's page, where the current image can be seen.

### Who runs the webcams in Mallorca?

One public body is SOCIB, the Balearic Islands coastal observing and forecasting system, with beach cameras in Cala Millor and Playa de Muro. The other cameras on this page are run by private providers: SkylineWebcams, SeeMallorca, feratel and in2theBeach.

### Which webcams in Mallorca show a beach?

On this page they are Can Pastilla on Playa de Palma, Playa de Muro, Cala Millor and Cala Agulla near Cala Ratjada. There are also cameras looking over bays, for example on the Bay of Pollença and in Cala Santanyí.

### Is there a webcam in Cala Millor, Mallorca?

Yes. According to SOCIB, it has run cameras on the beach there since 2011, currently 5 of them. The images can be viewed publicly in SOCIB's BEAMON Viewer. The weather for Cala Millor, with forecast and climate, is on the Wetter Mallorca town page.

### Why are the Mallorca webcams not embedded here?

Because the images belong to their operators and there is no permission to embed any of the cameras. SkylineWebcams expressly forbids reproduction without written consent. A link, on the other hand, does not reproduce the image, it only leads to the operator's page.

### Where can I find the weather for a webcam in Mallorca?

Under each area there is a link to the weather page for the matching town, such as Palma, Alcúdia, Can Picafort, Cala Millor or Cala Ratjada. There you will find the forecast for the next days and the climate month by month.

### Does a webcam in Mallorca replace the weather forecast?

No. A webcam shows what a place looks like at this moment. The forecast tells you what the weather will be like over the next days, and AEMET's rain radar shows where it is raining on the island right now.
